Our Shampoo Bars Contain Moroccan Argan Oil
Moroccan argan oil is packed with coenzyme Q10 (coQ10) a naturally occurring nutrient in the human body. Decreases in CoQ10 levels have been linked to aging.
There has been a number of studies associated with the use of argan oil in hair products, and specifically coQ10. Some evidence of the effectiveness in using argan oil is anecdotal, whilst there are also ongoing studies.
It is believed that argan oil, and coQ10 can have anti-aging effects on human hair.

Made with coconut oil!
In shampoo bars coconut oil is an important ingredient! Shampoo bars which contain coconut oil typically have a more foaming lather, resulting in better hair cleansing performance than most other oil choices.
Coconut oil is high in fatty acids that are well known to have anti-microbial properties effective against bacteria and fungi. Studies have shown coconut oil to have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which are great for the scalp.
Coconut oil has been found to be almost too good at cleansing possibly resulting in dry scalp & hair, this is why we combine coconut oil with a selection of other nourishing oils. Striking a balance between cleansing and nourishing results in a cleansing shampoo bar with a great lather, that doesn’t dry the hair or scalp & is nutrient rich.

Castor seed oil is a humectant, helping to draw moisture to the hair & skin, for this reason it is often a must have ingredient for those with a dry scalp. We use significantly more castor oil in our shampoo bar than our regular bar soap, it creates a dense stable lather especially in combination with coconut oil, which looks much like that of bottled shampoo.
Specifically in relation to hair, castor oil is reported to help improve the health of hair follicles promoting hair growth, and to leave hair shiny and smooth with improved flexibility.

Can be used all over your body
Whilst our shampoo bars are specifically formulated for hair & shaving, the high lather makes them a pretty good body wash too. They are not quite as moisturizing on the skin as our hand and body bars, but are great for removing grease.
